Chief Executive Officer Jersey Hospitality Association

The Jersey Hospitality Association is an independent trade association that was formed some forty-nine years ago to promote the interests of its members who are all involved in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry in Jersey. As a lobbying and commercial entity, the JHA currently represents 400+ tourism industry partners including hotels, guest houses, self-catering apartments, campsites, restaurants, cafés, bars, clubs, pubs, attractions, tour operators, transport providers, car hire companies and relevant suppliers of goods in the hospitality sector.

Gerald has over 30 years experience of work within the tourism and hospitality sector, most of which were spent as a hotelier, latterly being the Managing Director and General Manager of Hotel L’Horizon, a four star resort property in Jersey. Leaving hotel-keeping in 1996 he directed the opening of the Jersey Conference Bureau as a private public sector development and is still involved with this entity as a member of the Board. He joined the JHA, as its Chief Executive, in 1998.
