 Committee Member Jersey Hospitality Association Mario Pirozzolo is the Managing Director of Empire Catering Limited, a local, family owned Hospitality & Leisure Group. Mario’s background started in Hotel Management, although he has had involvement in a wider scope of industry including Education, Broadcasting, and Finance.
Concurrently, for the past 20 years, he has enjoyed a challenging career with the British Army, and mobilised on operations on five occasions. A qualified Military Engineer; and currently a commissioned officer in the Adjutant General’s Corps he received the Territorial Decoration in 2003.
Apart from the ‘green stuff’, today Mario and his family operate four retail hospitality sites, a sandwich production company and a sprinkling of contract commissions including work for the Public sector with school meals. Also, the company delivers tourist events on a community service basis, for which he received the Jersey Award for Enterprise in 2006.
