Position: Chief Executive Officer Organization: Economic Development Department Other Information: Mike King graduated from Imperial College, University of London in 1980. He joined the States of Jersey from the Welsh Development Agency (WDA) where he held the position of Executive Director with responsibility for international inward investment operations across 14 countries. Before joining the WDA, Mike spent over 20 years in senior management positions in the international oil and gas industry in exploration, production and commercial roles working in London and Houston, Texas. Mike moved to Jersey with his wife and five children in August 2005.

Other Information: Born and raised on Jersey, Marcus has spent the last 15 years in the USA and is the Channel Island’s first graduate of the prestigious Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. Marcus’s experience within the hospitality industry varies from large scale master planning and conceptual design to business planning and operations in food and beverage. He has worked on developments in large tourism destinations including Las Vegas, Orlando, Caribbean, and Dubai. He is the former president of the Cornell Hotel Society of Central Florida and has recently relocated back to Jersey with his wife to take over the family business which has been successfully operating here for over 35 years.
