Co-funded Payroll Scheme Applications Open
We wanted to make sure that you are aware that the Government of Jersey has opened applications for phase 1 of the Co-Funded Payroll Scheme which supports payroll costs between 20th and 31st March 2020 for qualifying industries.
The link to the phase 1 application is on the Government’s website but you can find it here.
On 9 April 2020, the Government announced the final details of the scope and operation of Phase 2 of the Co-Funded Payroll Scheme, which will co-fund 80% of the wages of Jersey employees across a wide range of sectors, up to a maximum payment of £1,600 a month. The scheme is confirmed for April to June 2020. It will then be subject to review and can be continued if the situation persists.
The scheme has expanded to include a wider range of sectors and businesses will need to make a ‘material detriment’ declaration when applying.
‘Material detriment’ will be determined by a loss of turnover over the relevant period of at least 30% compared with a previous comparable trading period.
The details and how to apply for the scheme can be found by visiting the Jersey Business page – www.jerseybusiness.je/coronavirus/coronavirus-payroll-co-funding-scheme
Applications for Phase 2 will close at the end of June 2020.
