From Monday 26 October, the guidance on wearing face masks when outside the home is changing.
Islanders will be ‘strongly recommended’ to wear a face mask in indoor public places. This includes crowded environments where you can’t guarantee you will always be able to maintain physical distancing, such as in shops. In addition to that, it will include an environment where contact details cannot be collected. An educational and promotional campaign will be encouraging all islanders to wear them.
For hospitality venues, the guidance states that this will include staff that serve food and drinks such as bar staff, waiters and any other member of staff who interacts with customers in a setting which serves food and drink. Please note at this time it won’t include seated customers due to track and trace.
