We have an opening for a talented, experienced and enthusiastic Sous Chef, looking to make his or her mark in our busy, top end bistro.
The successful applicant will have at least 3 years experience in the role of Sous Chef. He or she will have a passion for producing great contemporary quality food. We expect a strong, energetic, confident, efficient and committed approach to the role with a broad knowledge of all aspects of a kitchen environment and food preparation. In addition they will demonstrate an ability to to manage, delegate & communicate to a small but motivated and skilled team.
Skills & Qualifications
- Level 1&2 Food Hygiene certificate required. Level 3 would be advantageous.
- City & Guilds Culinary qualifications or similar
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
£24,000 - £25,750 per annum
Salary is negotiable based on experience
45 hours - 5 days
Starting as soon as possible to allow for training and cross over time.
Responsibilities will include :-
creative input into new menu and recipe ideas
stock management and orders
overseeing food hygiene and kitchen cleaning procedures
staff training & management
